The Historic Aviation Memorial Museum (HAMM) is a large regional aviation collection at Pounds Regional Airport's old passenger terminal building in Tyler, Texas.
Its archives include tens of thousands of commercial aviation and military history items. A variety of indoor exhibits, aircraft models, military uniforms, airplane oil paintings, a Norden bombsight, historic aviation photographs, and much more are well displayed.
Outdoors is an airplane gallery of restored, historic Air Force, Navy and Marine aircraft. The HAMM hangar facility provides space for aircraft restoration.
HAMM operates a library, a multimedia theater room, and provides a variety of educational programs. The building also houses a gift shop which offers visitors flight-related clothing, caps, airplane books, DVDs, model planes and souvenirs.

The Skyline Cafe, across the lobby in the terminal building, is well known locally for its fine assortment of food.
HAMM also arranges for a variety of high-profile airshows and air exhibits to visit Tyler.
Recent events have included the Wings of Freedom Tour, the B-29 Superfortress "FiFi", Aluminum Overcast, the Wings Over Tyler Air Show, and others. It is also home base for the annual Thunder Over Cedar Creek Air Show held each Fourth of July weekend in East Texas.

Located between Dallas and Shreveport on the Interstate I-20 corridor, the facility can easily be reached from the new Toll Loop 49 or Highway 64 West in Tyler.
Parking is free, and a small admission fee is charged to support operations.
We've visited their galleries several times, and highly recommend it to all with an interest in aviation and history!
