Eurofighter EF2000 Typhoon

The Eurofighter Typhoon is a single-seat, twin-engine, canard–delta wing, multirole fighter, originally designed as an air superiority fighter. Later production aircraft have been increasingly better equipped to undertake air-to-surface strike missions and to be compatible with an increasing number of different armaments and equipment, including Storm Shadow and Brimstone missiles.

It has a top speed of Mach 2.

The aircraft is manufactured by a consortium of Airbus, BAE Systems and Leonardo that conducts the majority of the project through a joint holding company, Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH.

Its first flight was in March of 1994, and is in service with a number of air forces, including the Royal Air Force, German Air Force, Italian Air Force, Spanish Air Force and others.

Over 570 have been built as of 2020.
